Well now summer has come to the end and Autumn is right on our doorstep and if you have been putting off those property repairs, sagging guttering, rotten fence. These types of repairs need to be taken care off before we really get bad weather.
Winter Repairs Are Essential To Have Fixed
In the Uk we are used to bad weather in the winter, the wind, the rain and then the snows come. When all these come together all those repairs that should have been taken care of in the summer months. These repairs come back and haunt you and what could have been a simple repair, cannot be done because of snow or rain.
The gutters fell or the fence is blown over and now it becomes an emergency repair that needs taken care of more or less straight away and you look back and think.? Why didn’t I get it done when I first saw it.?
This happens a lot to a lot of people more than you would think. Now it has become the emergency you dreaded and maybe cash is tight or when it happens you don’t have the money to get it fixed.
I have seen this so many times, it is really quite astonishing the number of repairs that could have been caught a lot easier and for a lot less money, but for some reason we neglect or forget to repair our property.
The most expensive thing you will ever purchase in your life after a car. Now compare this to your car, if you had a bald tire would you leave it or get it fixed.? If the oil light came on would you leave it without oil in the engine. No this is because your car would break down or you will lose traction and cause an accident.
So why do we not take so much care of the roof over our families heads.? It has always amazed me. The average property is going to take 2% of the property value per year to maintain so if your home is £100,000 then that would be £2000 per year to keep it in tip-top condition. This is the national average, but some of us take more care of our cars than our homes.

Then we complain that our home isn’t selling and it’s been on the market for months with lots of viewings.? There your answer people will not buy a broken uncared for car and it ends up in the scrap yard. So if you are not taking care of the property or home repairs, when they happen, then do not be surprised when it starts falling down around you.
How many times in hindsight do we wish that we had done something sooner? This is a lesson some will never learn and I think everybody needs to understand the importance of keeping their home in tip top condition, just like your car.
So if you have repairs then it could turn into a bigger problem, maybe a simple tile replaced but now winter is here and there is snow on the roof. Well, that simple tile repair is a full-on leak and is leaking into your home and ruining ceilings, carpets, furniture, and the list goes on and the price has skyrocketed.
So please if you have repairs call a reputable company to fix those problems and save yourself the hassle, stress and money buy getting the smaller problems fixed as and when you spot them.
Take care of your home better than your car it’s your home that’s an investment, not your car even though you should look after your car, which is more important.? your home and your family. It’s also going to grow in value if taken care of, but your car is going to always lose money.
